There are various suggestions of alternative therapies for Lyme but as yet there is no evidence of success based on clinical trials. Among these alternative treatments the following are worth mentioning:
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
- Antifungal azole medications
- Bee venom for containing the peptide melittin
These treatments and medications remain controversial as no traditional clinical studies have verified their effectiveness.
